I first had the idea to become a marriage commissioner after my own wedding in 2008 - our marriage officiant was just so warm and sincere. I tucked the idea into the back of my mind and when the timing was right I applied. I was appointed in 2015 and have performed hundreds of ceremonies since then.

 

My professional background is in teaching and counselling / coaching. I have coaching certification, my master's degree in school counselling and currently work part-time with a local school division. Oh - and I'm a mom too :)

 

I love this job! It uses so many of my skills AND I get to be with people on (what is hopefully, haha!) one of the happiest, most love-filled days of their lives!
