I am able to meet in-person, over the phone or via email to explain the basic details and plan out your ceremony. I can also offer ideas for location / venue, especially for smaller ceremonies.
Ceremony Elements
I offer choices for each section of the ceremony. From there, we are able to personalize your ceremony further by adding additional readings, ceremonies, etc.
Licence Drop-off
If a couple is not opting for a rehearsal, they are welcome to drop off their licence / registration to me for safe-keeping until the ceremony.
Rates
Small Celebrations & Legal Pre / Post- Destination Ceremonies
Elopements and other very small celebrations are $200. I can come to your home, you can come to mine, or I can meet you at any location / venue you'd like. I am even able to provide witnesses, if needed (additional charge may be applied) .
Small, pre-destination ceremonies are quite common now. Couples report that being legally married here ahead of time saves them foreign hassles and costs. These ceremonies can be straightforward, fun and meaningful, without taking away from their "big day" elsewhere.
Rehearsal
I am happy to attend a one-hour rehearsal prior to your ceremony, in order to run through the procession, etc. and make sure that everyone is ready for the ceremony! The rehearsal fee is $80.
Standard Celebrations
For all other ceremonies, the fee is $250. I am open to unique ideas as well! *Please note that additional fees may be applied for ceremonies that take an exceptional amount of time to prepare or perform, and / or or if additional materials are required.
At the Ceremony
I arrive 15 - 30 minutes before the ceremony begins and ensure that everything is ready to go. I am happy to work with anyone that you've designated to coordinate the details at the venue. I am also very flexible; if there is a gltich with something, I can almost always help you figure out a solution or find someone that can!
Travel Charge
If your ceremony is outside of city limits there may be a travel charge of $20 or more, depending on the distance.
Paperwork / Filing after the Ceremony
On the day of the ceremony you will be issued a Civil Marriage Statement. I'm then responsible for filing your marriage licence and you will then need to return to any registry office in approx. three - four weeks to order your official copy of the marriage certificate.
